Empty Chair, The

Synopsis:
This play has been specially commissioned for the 50+ Drama group who have been meeting at the Lemon Tree for over two years. What's so special about them? Who do they think they are? Who do we think they are? Who do you think they are? They are everywhere after all. Rich ones and poor ones. There are hundreds of them in Aberdeen alone. There are hundreds of them alone in Aberdeen. They are in supermarkets; in the street; in buses and trains; in boardrooms and workplaces; in prisons; in cinemas; in hospitals. Well - they all seem the same to the young, don't they? Grey hair and time on their hands? Ours are in a library. They are not the same. Never have been. Never will be.

How Many Miles To Babylon?

Synopsis:
Some came through innocence. Others through desperation. Some sought Heaven. Others, simply to belong. Now, in the final fateful hours of a cult's meltdown, all grope their way toward oblivion. And faith is all that remains. How Many Miles To Babylon? grew from thoughts of the Millennium, images of Faith, curiosity about the power of the charismatic leader, and wonder at the torturous journeys many people are prepared to make once they are convinced Heaven is just over the hill.
