Begotten: ONeill And the Harbor Of Masks

Synopsis:
as part of its partnership with arena Stage, Georgetown University presents this original work starring local actor Rick Foucheux (Nat Miller in arena Stages ah, Wilderness!)and set in a mythic landscape that evokes Eugene ONeills fascination with the Greek Dramas. Begotten explores ONeills legacy and his rejection of the world embodied by his fathers renowned performance of the Count of Monte Cristo, ONeills tortured personal relationships, his diverse creative output and his vision for a new American theater that, while forged out of human suffering, must ultimately transcend it.
