asher Frankfurt is a 2007 graduate of the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual arts in Dallas, Texas.Broken But Not Torn marks his writing debut. The play was first performed at his school's 2005 New Plays Festival and later became one of four plays chosen for the International Thespian Festival Playworks competition in the summer of 2005. For his excellence in both playwriting and screenwriting, Mr. Frankfurt received the $5,000 Silver award from the 2007 arts Recognition and Talent Search sponsored by the National Foundation for advancement in the arts. In May, he was named a Presidential Scholar in the arts for Screenwriting. Mr. Frankfurt has been accepted to the University of Southern California's School of Theatre, but has deferred his enrollment until the fall of 2008. This year he will reside in Paris and finish his screenplay.

Broken But Not Torn

Synopsis:
amorio, the reckless brother of Leander, has been banished from town, separated briefly from his love Isabella. Today amorio has snuck back through the gates and has sworn to marry Isabella, but little does he know that only one thing stands in his way: his brother. Unbeknownst to them both, the two brothers are set to marry the same woman. With only days left before both marriages, amorio and Leander struggle with an idiotic priest, a slow-thinking servant, and the wretched mother of Isabella, only to find out in the end the greatest coincidence of all. . .
