Having written and staged his first play at the age of nineteen as a student at the University of Potchefstroom in South Africa, Charles J. Fourie, has been actively involved with Theatre for some twenty years as a playwright, director, actor, producer, publisher and sometime Arts commentator. He has directed the majority of his own Dramatic work for both the stage and film collaborating with some of South Africa's best actors. Fourie's work has engaged many a literary work in the post-modern tradition and has led to several of his plays being either based on or sourcering into the archetypal as he puts it himself.
