Knickers

Synopsis:
Rita got educated, Shirley met her Valentine and Chris. . .? Chris got a life. Don't get mad. Get rich. Chris did. When Chris finds a porno mag in her son's bedroom, she's shocked. When she gets a phone bill for over four hundred pounds, she's worried. When she puts two and two together and comes up with 0898. . . "Knickers" gently rips the rouched curtains from suburbia's shrouded windows to show just how far a girl's got to go to do what a girl's got to do. a sharp, social satire, it shows the lengths to which one women stretches in her quest for vengeance against the man who wronged her and maps the rocky path which she and her two friends must follow.

Victim

Synopsis:
1947 Mel Farr and Philip Steiner are living together but they are afraid that their homosexuality will be discovered and that prosecution will follow. Mel decides that the best thing would be for him to get married. Philip is unhappy with this - he would like Mel to come and live with him on the Continent where things are much more lenient. Mel meets Laura and eventually marries her - although she is aware of his inclinations. Philip hits the bottle and then takes an overdose. Mel works for Laura's father's law firm and in 1960 meets Jack Barrat a young gay man. although nothing sexually happens between them Mel befriends him and gives him gifts. Someone takes a photograph of the pair of them in Mel's car and starts blackmailing Jack. To pay the blackmail money, Jack starts stealing money from his work place. He is arrested and hangs himself in a police cell. Jack's best friend and room mate gets in touch with Mel to let him know what happened - they start an affair. Laura discovers the affair and decides that she and Mel should separate.
