Novelist Lesley Cookman started writing pantomimes for her local theatre company when she was asked to direct and couldn't find one she liked. Since then, all her pantomimes have been published by Jasper, including Summer Season, the Music Hall musical commissioned by the British Music Hall Society's archivist, Max Tyler.

Cinderella

Synopsis:

Little Boy Blue

Synopsis:
New and charming pantomime specially written to accompany the author's book 'How To Write a Pantomime'. Little Boy Blue is Princess Bo-Peep's shepherd. When rascally Knave of Hearts announces his intention to marry Bo-Peep, everyone gets involved, Tommy Tucker, Lord Chamberlain, Old King Cole, the Knave's mother, the Queen of Hearts, not to mention fairies Lavender and Deadly Nightshade plus two bungling henchmen. Puss In Boots

Synopsis:
Tom, Dick and Harry, the Miller's sons have been left the cat, Puss, the donkey, Ned, and the mill respctively after their father's death. The Good Fairy (Fairy Light) changes Puss into a magic talking cat, algernon de Quincy, who immediately puts his plan to make Tom rich into action and takes a gift to the King and Queen. The King's Chamberlain, in the pay of the Ogre, is very suspicious and sets the King's bodyguards, Push and Shove, to follow, and if possible, capture the cat. Tom, on meeting the Princess, falls in love with her, to complicate matters, and algernon de Quincy has his work cut out to foil the Ogre, the Chamberlain and Push and Shove. With the help of the Princess' Nurse, Eureka Fish, and the Queen's Ladies in Waiting, Milly and Jilly, he succeeds triumphantly.

Red Riding Hood

Synopsis:
Traditional pantomime from the author of 'How To Write a Pantomime'. Red Riding Hood's grannie is Decidua, the Forest Guardian, who, having a bad cold is unable to prevent the Wolf from entering the forest. along the way, we meet Prince Stefan and his bodyguard Cecil, who falls victim to the charms of Dame Ida Hood, and three very disgruntled little pigs, not to mention the wicked Lady Millicent, who has designs on the Prince herself. . .

Sleeping Beauty

Synopsis:
Celebrations take place at the birth of Princess aurora, when an old lady arrives to complain that she had not been invited to the christening. This evil witch Carabosse then makes a terrible curse - 'the Princess will pricked her finger and die.' Fairy Queen, arriving late, sets in motion a counter-acting spell - but will it work?

Summer Season

Synopsis:
a troupe of Pierrot players 'Will's Wanderers' perform each 'Summer Season' on the sands. Wealthy Shepherd family also take a house there every summer. Both sets get inextricably mixed up in a story of love, deception and misunderstandings before the season closes. Suggested are some infrequently used Music Hall songs, or choose your own!
