Sam Bobrick has written and co-written over forty plays, most of them performed throughout the world, which include: Norman, Is That You?, Murder at the Howard Johnson's, Weekend Comedy, Remember Me?, Death in England, Passengers, Are You Sure?, Baggage, Getting Sara Married, The Spider or the Fly, and - without William Shakespeares blessing - Hamlet II (Better Than The Original). Twenty-one of his plays have been published by Samuel French. In 2011, Mr. Bobrick won the Mystery Writers of America Edgar Award for his play, The Psychic. Some of his television credits include The Andy Griffith Show, Get Smart, The Smothers Brothers Show, Bewitched, and numerous musical variety shows. Mr. Bobrick also created the teenage hit series Saved By The Bell. Also a songwriter, his work has been recorded by Elvis Presley, Brian Ferry, and Los Lobos. Mr. Bobrick is a member of the Dramatists Guild, as well as the Writers Guild of America. A native of Chicago, he graduated from the University of Illinois. He is married to writer Julie Stein, with whom he has co-written several plays. They live in Southern California where Mr. Bobrick continues to write.

Flemming (An American Thriller)

Synopsis:
Bored by his privileged but mundane life, Henry Flemming sells his lucrative brokerage firm to become a detective. On his very first case - to the horror of his wife, Karen, and his two crazy neighbors, Suzy and Stan - the Flemming living room begins to fill up with dead bodies. Karen is further annoyed when one of them turns out to be her father. even though Henry keeps showing up at home every day more disheveled and beaten up, he couldn't be happier. Henry is convinced he's found his life's work and Westport, Connecticut is safer for it. the play is a spoof of the film noir thrillers from the 40's and 50's.

Getting Sara Married

Synopsis:
Sara Hastings is an unmarried lawyer in her mid-thirties, much too busy to get involved in any romance. Her aunt Martha has decided to take matters into her own hands and find her a husband. Unfortunately, aunt Martha's method of doing it amounts to having the prospective groom bopped over the head and brought to Sara's apartment. aunt Martha's choice is Brandon Cates, a young man who handles her finances. although Brandon is already engaged to be married, this does not deter aunt Martha. after being bopped on the head a few times, having a temporary loss of memory and experiencing several instances of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and a confrontation with a very angry fiance, Brandon slowly comes to realize that Sara is really the girl for him.

Norman Is That You?

Synopsis:
Norman and Garson are living happily in their New York apartment when Norman's Father Ben turns up. He tells Norman that his mother, Beatrice, has run off with his uncle, Julius, and that he has come to stay whilst getting over the shock. Norman persuades Garson to move out whilst he Father is in New York. Ben is aghast at finding out his son is gay and he takes an instant dislike to Garson. He tries to split them up. then he tries to "straighten" Norman by hiring Mary a prostitute. Norman is so angry he leaves. Garson decides not to stay away whilst Ben is in the apartment and returns making up a bed on the couch for Ben. During the next few days they continue to "snipe" at each other and wondering when Norman will come back. Ben hires Mary again so that this time she can "straighten" Garson. Whilst she is getting ready in the bedroom, Beatrice arrives. She has had enough of Julius' and has come to stay with her son. Ben tells her that Norman is gay and living with another man. Beatrice says that she will not be returning to Ben. When Mary comes out of the bedroom Beatrice thinks that she is Norman. Norman returns and says that he has enlisted in the Navy for three years. Beatrice agrees to return home as long as Garson comes too. the two parents start to conspire - they will try and get Garson off with the gay son of an acquaintance and keep a look out for a nice professional - doctor or dentist for Norman.

Synopsis:
Splitting Issues consists of nine sketches with a total of 28 roles but can also be done using as few as six actors. Splitting Issues Pete and Gwen Darren invite their best friends, Larry and Marcie, over for drinks to inform them that they are splitting up. they then want to know which of them Larry and Marcie will choose to remain friendly with.
