Wild Blue

Wild Blue

Synopsis:
The Hyper aware Theater Company presents its newest work, Wild Blue, the story of Jet Blue flight attendant Steven Slater, by Gary Ferrar and Louis aquiler, both recipients of the Philip Rosenthal Grant for Comedy. Loosely based on The Wizard of Oz, Wild Blue imagines the hysterical and haunting moments that caused Steven Slater to curse out passengers over the intercom, slide down the emergency slide, and become an instant Facebook sensation. In the second act, Steven escapes to a cabin near the Canadian border, inhabited by famed 1970s airline hijacker/outlaw D. B. Cooper. In this backwoods version of Oz, Steven assumes the role of Dorothy while D. B., as the Wizard, questions whether their actions are "the only sane reaction to an insane society."
