Synopsis: The spirit (dybbuk) of a musician inhabits the body of a 17 year old girl. When she opens her mouth, his voice comes out. The spirit betwitches the community, exposing their dirty secrets and captivating them with ribald tales. This continues for several nights until the usually sedate and religious village becomes a carnival of dancing and anarchy. The girls parents are traumatised and call on several Rabbis to exorcise the dyubbuk but instead another spirit, this time a dead prostitute, enters the girl's body and fights with the fiddler for sole occupancy. . . | ||||
