Charlie Wiseman started working in theatre in Edinburgh as part of Grassmarket Project, as assistant and producer, as well as carer for the unusual company that improvised with real people from the streets, young offenders and for the Grassmarket Project. This led to a diversity of work in Berlin where he founded Rats with homeless at Volksbuehne, making an ensemble that won the Academy of Arts Award and Prudential Nomination. After his 'Jungle of Dreams' written in German, on at Berliner Ensemble he was invited to do a reading of it at West Yorkshire Playhouse by Jude Kelly. This led on to work at Southwark Playhouse, as well and he founded the London Peace Through Community Award that runs improvised performances at Chelsea, Clapham Omnibus and St Augustine's Gloucester Road.
