Alf Ramsey Knew My Grandfather

Synopsis:
The greatest football story ever told, Alf Ramsay Knew My Grandfather is about the team of miners from West Auckland in County Durham who won the first world cup in 1909. "West" were invited to compete in the Lipton Trophy in Italy against the top teams from Germany, Switzerland and Italy, who were all professional The lads also returned in 1911 and won the cup outright after hammering the mighty Juventus 6-1.

Amazing Grace

Synopsis:
about the 19th century Northumberland sea rescue heroine who, with her father on September 7, 1838, rescued nine people after their ship had struck the notorious Harcar rocks, a part of the Farne Islands situated off the Northumberland Coast between Bamburgh and Seahouses. Tragically Grace died of TB in 1842 aged only 26, four years after her heroic deed.

Dirty Dusting

Synopsis:
Three elderly (pensioner) cleaning ladies set up a telephone sex chat line on their bosses' premises when they are made redundant. But they have to keep their get-rich-quick scheme a secret from their obnoxious supervisor.

Maggie's End

Synopsis:
The death of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher has resurrected the bitter divides of the 1980s. Half the country mourns while the other half celebrates with impromptu street parties. However, when the newly-crowned Labour Prime Minister announces a state funeral for the late PM - a sense of outrage grips those communities worst affected by the Thatcher years and brings the political differences in one North East family to breaking point.
