Synopsis: | Although the War has been over for many years Marie Desbois is still full of bitterness and hatred towards the Germans. In the War a German soldier had shot her sixteen year old son dead and taken his cross as a souvenir. She vents her anger on a young eighteen year old German student at her cafe until he tells her that his dying father had sent him to her to beg forgiveness and to return the cross.
