Genre: | Piece | |||||
| Parts: | Male | 1 | Female | 1 | ||
Parts other: | - | |||||
Notes: | devised by Chris Thorpe, Alexander Kelly and Rachael Walton
Synopsis: | Presumption captures a young couple at the moment when they realise that their relationship has become comfortable rather than passionate, habitual rather than dramatic. Against the backdrop of an insignificant quarrel, they examine their relationship and their willingness or not to accept its limitations. Third Angel's work is always visually interesting and here the mental exertions are mirrored by the performers' physical efforts as they struggle on and off the stage with an ever-increasing collection of domestic detritus. The piece is likely to resonate with young adult audiences.

Genre: | Piece | |||||
| Parts: | Male | - | Female | - | ||
Parts other: | - | |||||
Notes: | What I Heard About the World arises from a collaboration between the Lisbon- based theatre company, mala voadora (flying suitcase), which explores 'contemporary social issues and the nature of theatre and spectacle'; and the Sheffield-based performance company, Third Angel, which produces work 'across the territories of theatre' to include live art, film, video and photography.
Synopsis: | n What I Heard About The World, Sheffield based Third Angel and Lisbon's mala voadora attempt to map a spherical planet onto a (very big) flat piece of paper. The three narrators set out to catalogue every country, to share stories and name names, in a show that wonders if we have to fake the world to understand it.
