Blamey: Power, Politics and Whiskey

Synopsis:
A one man play concerning the life of Thomas Blamey, Australia's military leader during World War Two. His colourful life encompassed action at Gallipoli, the Western Front, allegations of corruption, sexual excess and drunkenness. He led a right wing secret army ready to take over government from the red menace. He dealt with some of the great figures of the forties - Churchill, Roosevelt, Curtin and MacArthur.

Empty Say, The

Synopsis:
Bill Files is the Federal Opposition Leader, head of the Labor Party. He is convinced that he will be the next Prime Minister. But his best friend in politics, a shadow minister, informs him that he is about to switch support to an emerging populist. Files decides to fight to retain his position with the support of his socialist dad and his alienated wife but events conspire against him and he hands power to a man he despises.

Synopsis:
A survivor of the battle the trenches of the Western Front lies in his hospital bed after repatriation: an unknown soldier in a vegetative state, his body battered and burnt, his face eaten away by explosives and rats. A medical officer resolves to find his loved ones, thus assembling a group of disparate of men and women shaken by loss in very different ways. A snapshot of Australia in the days following the war to end all wars.

Jane is a popular and glamorous Labor politician. Polls indicate she is the most admired woman in the country but her moves in the party are countered by the incumbents who conspire to force her to resign over her sexual activities. the plan backfires when Jane's ex-husband lies, and sacrifices his reputation, to protect her. A modern day morality tale.
