Saint Vig

Synopsis:
Saint Vig takes place in the dilapidated basement rec-room of Saint Dominic's Catholic Church in the Bronx. Patrick (Whip) is a schemer, a dreamer and a big talker. His knee-jerk reactions and skewed moral compass are both sign and symptom of his many personal failures. Will landing a lucrative renovation job at a local church finally provide his salvation. . .or send him spiraling deeper into his damning compulsions?

Notes:
the vig is A common term in gambling circles. Short for vigorish , it means "a charge paid on A bet, As to A bookie." Vigorish, which is first found in America just past the turn of the century, is probably A borrowing of A Russian or Ukranian word meaning "profit" or "winnings"; vig itself is A more recent shortening.
