Synopsis: | BLUE JAY SINGING IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT is the story of JAY JARRELL, a once legendary disc jockey from 60's "Underground" radio who finds himself a decade later stuck in the era of less talk, more hits radio. Now in his late forties to early fifties, he's been relegated to a graveyard shift and to working with an engineer, MAX, who is determined to squeeze him into the mold of the new FM DJ, all gloss and no substance. Meanwhile, Jay's much younger songwriter girlfriend, LAURA, whose career he's been nurturing, is wanting to try her own wings, and secretly begins to work with a musician, STEVE, on the side. This relationship satisfies her deepest musical longings, but also veers into the romantic. When these two realities converge for Jay, they propel him into a final act that some might call inspiration, others, lunacy, but that is ultimately a proclamation of the self against the odds.

Synopsis: | DIALECTICS OF THE HEART is a forbidden love story within the academic world of philosophy. ELIZABETH DREWER, a forty-year-old philosophy professor, knows who she is. She loves her work, is at the top of her field, and is a rationalist to the core. Her personal life is less certain. Her marriage to fellow professor, MARSHALL HEUGHINS, broke up over another woman. Her colleague, PHILIP MONOHAN, against whom she testified in front of an ethics committee for his affair with a student, seems to be holding it against her. Her best friend, anthropology professor, BARBARA BIDEN, wants her to stop burying herself in work. But none of these people disturb her complacency quite as much as the "new kid in town," charismatic and free-thinking teaching assistant and graduate student, RICHARD AMADO, 28. As the semester commences, Elizabeth tries to rein the young man in, but instead, despite herself, finds herself more and more attracted. It is only when Elizabeth emerges from this struggle, re-evaluating not only her world view, but the people within her world she had so carelessly judged, that this woman of the mind finds the synthesis that allows her to unite mind and heart into a new whole.

Synopsis: | In ONE WHITE CROW, Journalist TESS O'NEILL reluctantly takes on the assignment to profile popular television medium JUDITH KNIGHT. Tess is a rationalist and skeptic, very much like her father who recently passed away, Pulitzer prize winning science writer, Robert O'Neill. At the first interview, Judith claims that it is not she who chose Tess for the job, but her dead father. This only adds fuel to the fire, and makes Tess determined to get to the truth of Judith's claims. Tess consults ALEX RIMBAUD, Robert O'Neill's former protege and now celebrated professional skeptic, who is also Judith Knight's most outspoken critic. To complicate matters, when Tess was still a college girl of 19 and Alex was 29, a furtive attraction had developed between them which had culminated in a stolen kiss. Now, 15 years later, Alex is happy to help, hoping Tess will expose Judith as a fraud. But things don't go necessarily as planned. Tess becomes more and more unsettled by Judith's "visitations," while at the same time becoming re-entangled in feelings for Alex. As their three lives intertwine, Tess must deal with both her grief and a shifting certainty of where belief ends and truth begins.
