Anne-Giselle Spiegler is an award-winning director for Theater, Film and Music Video based in Los Angeles. After graduating from The University of Southern California with an MFA in Directing, she won an Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Fellowship to work with the Walt Disney Company. She was also named a LucasFilm fellow while at USC. For many years she worked in feature film and music video, but always returned to her first love, live theater. Focusing almost exclusively on directing new work, she has become a frequent "first call" for new plays in Los Angeles. Her shows in Los Angeles have been nominated for LA Weekly Awards, Garland Awards and DramaLogue awards. She has won several DramaLogues as well as the "NEA Award for Excellence" for the World Premiere of "Kwang-Ju an Escalatory Spree" for the Korean National Theater Conference. She was named "One to Watch" by the San Francisco Bay Guardian and her work has been called "innovative, eye-opening and spectacular" by the Los Angeles Times and "forward, insightful and flawless" by Variety as well as "heartbreakingly good" by the LA Weekly. She is the co-founder of the critically acclaimed Lit Theater whose mission is to produce new American works for a new American audience. She has taught Theater and Film as an Associate Professor at The Union Institute. She has also worked for The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and is a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers, LA Writers Center, Los Angeles Stage Alliance, and is an alumna of the Directors Lab West. She is the co-founder of the International Theatre Network, a virtual community dedicated to building bridges between theatre artists and institutions interested in international theatre exchange. Currently, the site includes participants from over 40 countries. Her first film, "Regular Maintenance", has circled the globe on the festival circuit. She has recently begun writing plays. Her first play, "eggs" has been given developmental readings at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum and at Syzygy Theater, both in Los Angeles. Her second play, "Leaving Vero" has been given a developmental reading Syzygy Theater in Los Angeles. She has been invited to be a permanent member of the LA Writer's Center and has consulted for the Los Angeles Female Playwrights Initiative. Her short works, "Gertrude's Intention" and "Nobody Likes the Butt" will be produced in 2011 by the New York One Minute Play Festival and The New Brunswick Theater Festival.

Synopsis:
Three Angelino women fight to save their historic homes from demolition and in the process save each other. The three women in this play come from different generations, one is in her 20's, one in her late 30's- 40's and one in her 70's-80's. This is an even "3 hander" all actresses get meaty parts and time to really shine! 2 acts, full length.

Leaving Vero

Synopsis:
It's the last day of Dodgertown. After fifty plus years in Vero Beach, Florida, the Dodgers are packing up and moving out. They might not be the only ones. Spend a day with two unlikely couples as they contemplate life, death and baseball. The question is, when settling an old score, after three strikes, are you REALLY out? Whatever the outcome on the field or off of it, someone is definitely Leaving Vero!

Notes:
The play takes place over the course of the last day of Dodgertown, Acts one And two Are sometimes simultaneous. The woman in Act one is from the Dominican Republic And must look And sound it. The couple in Act two must be over 50. It's About life, death And baseball. 2 Acts, full length.
