Tom Smith is currently a professor at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. His published plays include Marguerita's Secret Diary, the Pathmaker, Gray, the Odyssey, Dangerous and 4 adaptations of Shakespeare plays. He is the recipient of the Robert J. Pickering Award for Excellence in Playwriting, Athe Playworks Award, the Orlin R. Corey Outstanding Regional Playwright Award, the Richard Odlin Award, and a Seattle Footlights Award. Aunt Raini

Synopsis:

Autumn's Child

Synopsis:
Momma is taking down the decorations that should have greeted her daughter when she came back from the hospital with Momma's grandchild. But the baby died during child-birth. She does it quietly so as not to disturbed her husband in the bedroom. Her daughter Chloe arrives from the hospital with a bundle. the police telephone to say that they suspect Chloe has taken someone elses baby. Chloe says that it hers and it came back to life. the police telephone back and say the missing baby has been found. Chloe admits that the baby she has is her dead baby and that her mother should understand as her husband in the bedroom has been dead for years.

Dangerous

Synopsis:
Dangerous is a contemporized gay adaptation of the novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Dangerous Liaisons) by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. Marcus's boyfriend has been caught cheating with Jason. To gain revenge, Marcus enlists his friend Alexander to seduce Jason; Alexander agrees, and simultaneously seduces Trevor, a soon-to-be-ordained priest. But Alexander finds himself trapped in a web of lies and deceit as he and Marcus battle for social domination.
