Synopsis:
Phil Lawson, middle aged, middle class and seemingly prosperous, has been leading a double life until his arrest for drug dealing. Unused to taking responsibility for his own actions, he faults everyone but himself for his predicament even as his arrest tears at the fabric of his family. His elderly parents, fearful of his being in jail, mortgage their home - and their security - for his bail. His young and pregnant wife grapples with the reality of his likely prison term. His sister, always disdainful of Phil's bon vivant lifestyle, struggles with her own identity as she adopts multiple personalities as easily as changing clothes. The secret of a missing brother might bring them together, but lurking in the shadows is a policeman who blames Phil for the death of his son. Will the unchastened Phil run? Destined for Fun is a story of the quest for self-discovery, finding ourselves first through the eyes of others, and ultimately through our own vision.

Synopsis:
Star-crossed lovers become entangled in the tragic past of an American family. Johnny Casanova, a Costa Rican immigrant so-nicknamed for his wandering eye, learns on the same day that his true love, Paloma, and American girlfriend, Bobby, are both pregnant. Each demands that he marry her. His choice is complicated by his religious faith and the dreams that spurred him to immigrate to America in the first place. Johnny's dilemma plays out during a visit to Bobby's invalid father who extols the many facets of love. Ultimately Johnny Casanova is a story of enduring love, but not before everyone's notions of love are tested.

Two American soldiers surnamed Brown are mistakenly booked into the same hotel room in Saigon during the Vietnam War. Tony Brown, coming back from home leave - where he faces a bleak future if he survives the war - is headed into combat the next day. Art Brown, just off the front line and headed home, has a secret that might jeopardize his close relationship with his father. Into their midst comes Suzi, a child prostitute, who is desperate to escape and return to her village before her mother dies. For all three, their encounter profoundly changes their lives in ways they don't fully realize until another chance meeting many years later.
