Alone in the attic extension of his Seattle mansion he faces his last moments on earth. He is only 27 years old. Into this scenario wanders Sid Vicious, the long dead English punk rocker. . .in the course of the next 75 minutes Kurt and Sid argue the futility of rock and roll self-destruction, the sordid glamour of addiction and the terrible price of fame. Ying Tong

Ying Tong
Set in a psychiatric ward and a radio theatre Smiles's play shows a clinically depressed Spike in 1960 haunted by his own creation and exhorted by Sellers and Secombe to produce one more series. In the second half the play surreally expands to offer us a pastiche Goon Show called Journey To the Centre of Milligan's Brain. Eccles, Bloodnok, Grytpype-Thynne and the rest are all wheeled out in an attempt to rescue Milligan's marbles which turn out to be as precious as those of Elgin. - Michael Billington, the Guardian.

Notes:
it tackles Spike's clinical depression in Goon Show style. Set in A psychiatric ward And A BBC studio, it shows A bedbound Spike devoured by his comic creations And his madcap colleagues. Doors fly open to reveal A singing Secombe or A naked Sellers deman
