Synopsis: | The play is a literal reworking of the myth of Echo and Narcissus Based on Roman poet Ovid's telling of it.Echo and Narcissus work in a derelict office in South London. Echo works day and night collecting fragments for Narcissus to help him discover his true identity. She is voiceless except for the fragments and unable to delcare her love for him. She disintegrates physically with pain and parlaysed from the waist down is forced to drag herslf around to collect more and more information for Narcissus, until Narcissus' double breaks into the office and gives Echo and new lease of life. | |||||
