Bob Showalter is a South Carolina playwright and a back-to-back winner of the 2004 and 2005 Lebanon Community Theatre playwrighting festival in Lebanon Pennsylvania. He also is a recurring winner of the 2005 and 2006 Rock Hill Down Home Playwrighting festival in Rock Hill South Carolina, where his play Imogene's Wash and Go Beauty Shop was chosen as the audience choice award for 2005. His Play Imogene's Lucky Day will be performed at the Pensacola Little Theatre in Pensacola Florida in 2007. His past projects include Threads Of Hope, a play/musical he co-wrote with Ed Connolly that was produced at The University of South Carolina Upstate as part of their South Carolina playwriting season in February 2005. This play is a based on the southern textile mill heritage. It also was performed at the Rock Hill Community Theatre in Rock Hill, South Carolina in June 2005. In addition, Bob wrote a script for the National AIDS day benefit, which was performed at the Spartanburg Little Theatre in December 2004.
