Paul is from Lawrence, KS. His play, REEL, premiered as part of Indiana University's main stage season in Dec'06, was performed at the Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee, WI, as part of the American College Theatre Festival, and was the winner of the Kennedy Center's 2007 Mark Twain Playwriting Award for Comedy. His play, CRACKER, won the American College Theater Festival Region 3 Full Length Script Award in 2007. His play, TWEAKED, received 2nd Place in The University of Tulsa's New Works For Young Women Competition and was the runner-up in Stony Brook University's 2006 John Gassner New Play Competition. TWEAKED also received a reading at The Phoenix Theatre in Indianapolis and the 78th Street Theatre Lab in New York City and will by produced at The Viaduct Theatre in Chicago by Big Brother Productions in May '08. His play, SLIP, STUMBLE, FALL, was a finalist in HotCity Theatre's New Play Competition and received an Honorable Mention in The University of Tulsa's New Works For Young Women Competition in 2007. His play, DIG, premiered at Franklin College in Franklin, IN, in Nov. '07. Paul's play, BICENTENNIAL BABIES, premiered at the Bloomington Playwrights Project in Sept. '05. His screenplay, A BRILLIANT MESS, was a first round alternate in the first Project Greenlight competition. Paul is a proud member of The Dramatists Guild of America, Inc. He received his B.A. in Theatre and Film from Kansas University and his M.F.A. in Playwriting from Indiana University. He currently lives in Brooklyn with his wife.
