As the spirits of Cloud Nine are sexless, some 'male' parts may be played by females. This one-act play may be acted independently, or as part of the trilogy of one-act plays "Three Origins of Man". The other two plays are "Homo Sapiens" and "Laughing Fever". This play won the National Eisteddfod short play competition at Bala in the 1990s.

Synopsis:

The action takes place in the Celestial Patents Office on Cloud No.9, some time pre-history. The office is run by three spirits: Christian, Agnosticus and Atheous. God is anxious to take out patents on his new invention of the Earth and everything on it, and brings in Adam and Eve to clinch the deal. Unfortunately, he dropped Adam on the way.

Synopsis:

The action takes place in two caves on opposite sides of the same mountain, around 40.000 B.C. The female Sapiens (The Wise Ones) are intelligent, resourceful, and missing something in their lives, but they don't know what. The Homos are lazy and not missing anything apart from sufficient brain cells. It takes an earthquake to bring the two tribes together to create Homo Sapiens.

Synopsis:

The action takes place on the planet Gloom, where it rains all the time. The play is set several thousand years B.C. related to Earth time. The population of Gloom is being decimated by laughing fever - some people become hilariously ill, others die laughing. They need to find out what's doing it and escape to a better planet - the Extraterrestrial Area for the Rehabilitation and Treatment of "Happies". You've guessed it - E.A.R.T.H.
