Synopsis: | The 1950's American dream comes crashing into contemporary reality presented in a multi-media mysterious, thrilling and sometimes darkly humourous tale of parallel worlds colliding to reveal stark truths and hidden secrets.Through the narrative of Dylan and Olivia Stratford is an exploration in where creativity comes from and how it is harnessed in a classic 1950's American setting but with progressive contemporary points of view. At first glance it is a classic murder mystery. Beyond this enchanting thriller is a subtext which aligns two different venues of creativity and illustrates how each of those venues is subtly stifled by hyper capitalism. Exposing the light of inspiration in American storytelling in theater and film analogous to inspiration in innovation and productivity in American manufacturing, it offers the hypothesis that the lack of nurturing and support of motivated ideas in both areas leads to decay and stagnation of the American dream. | |||||
