Blueprint Project, The
Synopsis:
part of a program of new short plays presented by Gideon Productions. This description is from the company: "Gideon's producers, composed a single-paragraph plot synopsis-about the clashing agendas of a group of people surrounding a body in a room, awaiting the arrival of a 'medium' who would awaken the body-and gave it to four dramatists with highly diverse playwriting voices to see how differently they would realize this plot as a short play. The result is four suprising plays, each with a unique style, moving characters and a different twist ending

Standards of Decency 3: 300 Vaginas Before Breakfast
Synopsis:
Blue Coyote Theater group commissioned eight of their favorite playwrights to create new short plays meditating on new media and pornography. Presented in a stripped-down style, the plays are raunchy, funny, and surprisingly tender. Is our pornutopia breaking down our capacities for empathy and reflective thought, for intimacy and sustained attention? Standards of Decency 3: 300 Vaginas Before Breakfast uses a very old medium to explore what the new media are doing to us, publicly and privately, for better and for worse, at the place where technology, sex, and relationships collide.

Universal Robots

The Great War has just ended. Czechoslovakia is a Republic with an elected President and a thriving artistic community that includes celebrated playwright Karel Capek. But history cracks wide open when a young woman walks into Karel's life with a strange mannequin in a wheelchair. . .a mannequin that gets up and moves all by itself!Universal Robots tells the alternate history of the 20th Century, beginning with the invention of the robot through the destruction of Nazi Germany at the hands of the robot army, and concluding with the horrifying robot rebellion against the human race that changed the world forever. A love story, political allegory, and redemptive tragedy, Universal Robots freely adapts Czech playwright Karel Capek's seminal 1921 play R.U.R., which introduced the word 'robot' to the world. Universal Robots departs significantly from Capek's script, offering a meaty and riveting story of war, love, faith, technology, and the power of art to change the world, for both good and ill
