Synopsis: | During her lifetime Emily Dickinson was completely unknown. Trying to get her poetry published she sent samples to leading poets and critics. Thomas Wentworth Higinson responded and there followed years of correspondence between the two of them. They eventually met and after the meeting Emily never again tried to get her work published. No one knows what occurred at the meeting - but this is what might have happened | |||||
