Born in Los Angeles, 02 Aug 1960, Robert Riemer currently lives and works in Laguna Beach, California. A graduate of UCLA with a major in Fine arts, Robert worked the first part of his life as a fine art painter and sculptor. As of late he has turned his attention to playwriting, having completed over twenty scripts. SPLENDID MISERY was his first production which took place in New York at the Actors Temple Theatre in March of 2010. Since then SPLENDID MISERY was premiered in Los Angeles at the ZJU theatre on May 7, 2010. SPLENDID MISERY is the first of a trilogy of plays titled, IN LOVE. The second play in the series, A MEMORY OF WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN, will be first performed at the ZJU theatre on June 7, 2010, with the third, KATE later in the year. The entire trilogy has been published in one book and is available through the Scene Press. Mr. Riemer's work shares the common thread of perceptions of reality, time, love, how human beings struggle with the short time allotted on this earth.
