Synopsis:
A powerful examination of the effects of extreme avarice, the misuse of wealth, influence and racial stereotyping, which leads to a culture of abuse - created by the dominant few - of those deemed to be outsiders. Poetic Justice has taken Shakespeare's work to devise a play which cuts to the chase in the wheeling, dealing money world. Here SHYLOCK & ANTONIO, two major players, bitter rivals battling for supremacy, in a place where money equals power and the law; the spoils to the victor. . .to the loser, defeat and destruction. Whether 16th or 21st century, for the greedy bankers, brokers and usurers, race and creed are merely tools in their battle - there is only one certainty: The winner takes it all.
