The musical chronicles the rise and fall of Black Peter, from his days as a Spanish harlequin, through his reluctant participation in the King Ferdinand's war against the Moors, to his recruitment, by Saint Nick, as keeper of the naughty list. Black Peter is a satiric, puppet-filled homage to the Christmas specials of our childhood, evoking the Rankin and Bass style to create dark fable for this mythical holiday figure. Black Peter is edgy, witty, and filled with nostalgic fun.
