While attending the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, Tyler Ham Pong, first started developing his play, "Moony Mercury," melding together science fiction and film noir. On July 25th, 2008, it was workshopped at the Lee Strasberg Institute, and later produced at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre in the Winter of 2009. He then began working on "Two Days 'til Dawn," which was a blend of chaos and meta-theatrics. Soon after, he began writing screenplays and won numerous accolades for his two short screenplays, "Dreamer In Exile," and "Breakup Brody." For his efforts in writing, "Breakup Brody," the 2011 Canada International Film Festival awarded him the Award of Excellence. "Dreamer In Exile" would later be produced by Ham Pong's production company, Kill the Pig Productions. His short film, "Sawaru," also made the Top Ten Selection at the 2011 Asian American Film Lab, winning him the Best Actor Award. Ham Pong currently resides in Los Angeles.
