After a chance meeting, Stacy and Mark become friends. But Stacy and Mark soon help each other see their culpability in their relationship problems and accept their share of the blame. Determined to start anew, Mark surprises Paul with an engagement ring, while Stacy sacrifices her own needs by postponing her anniversary plans with Ian so that he can tend to important matters that arise at work. But to no avail, Jack won't come out. Till the following year when his mother writes him a letter, questioning his relationship with another boy at school. Then Jack realizes that maybe he is "like that," too. But all Jack wants is to be normal. So into the closet he goes. . .
