Synopsis: | Especially for the Autumn and Winter nights; this is a crazy ,sometimes scary yet heartwarming comedy about a young World War 2 evacuee from the beautiful island of Guernsey who finds herself living on the dark and forbidding moorland landscape of Pennine Lancashire, in a hillside farmhouse owned by two strange old farmers. She longs to look at the sea again but seems to have no way of fulfilling her dream. That is, not until the wierd and wonderful starts to happen and the supernatural comes to her aid. She sets out on a journey made almost impossible by war time restrictions but at her side is the helpful Boggart that befriended her at Holden Clough farm. You will alternatively laugh, cry and maybe scream as they follow her from Pennine hills to seaside fun, from the world of 1940's fear and austerity through the hidden lands of myth and legend that are centuries old, to her final goal that is a surprise ending that looks forward to a bright new future. Louise and Jacqueline weave their story with one character after another through farcical, serious and other worldly' moments which will entertain and delight everyone from 10 years upwards. | |||||
