Synopsis: | A rainy November night in 1957. Stella has prepared a meal for flatmate Jessica. Jessica arrives home from work tired. Stella suggests that they go out and look for a flat out of town they can get together. Jess is expecting Andrew to arrive a as he does each year at this time propose. He does arrive but says that he has been promoted to a new position out of State and that he will be going to take it up with his mother. He leaves. Jess is shocked.
