Curse of the Mystic Renaldo the, The

Synopsis:
the following (probably tongue-in-cheek) description is from the show's press release: "During construction of the 3LD space, a lost silent movie was found buried beneath a concrete slab. Using revolutionary technology, 3LD was able to restore this film, which may have documented the shocking murder of frowzy aristocrat Renaldo the, the legendary figure of incompetent amusement. In a quaint hotel in 1920s Western Europe, Renaldo's jazz-era death dream is recreated in all its absurd glory. Has one of history's greatest mysteries finally been solved, or is this another of Renaldo's vain attempts to secure some sort of oddball legacy?

Radio Purgatory

Synopsis:
Murder! Mayhem! Live Music! theaterthe's Radio Purgatory is a multi-disciplinary theatrical piece featuring the radio aesthetic of the 1930s and 1940s. A down-on-his-luck detective, Dick Flavor, finds himself in purgatory and encounters a cast of archetypal radio play misfits forever frustrated by a lexicon of ONLY period vernacular. Flavor attempts to solve his last case, namely his own murder, but is continually thwarted by slapstick, absurdity, and outrageous commercial interruptions. Is there a way out? Sex, violence, live music, and product placement share his nightmare.
