Synopsis: | Two sisters - Mary and Jane - are desperately trying to keep their ancestral home and estate. They have resorted to selling the family heirlooms. Has the old family friend, Lydia, the solution? What ensues, with revelation after revelation during the afternoon, is jealousy, bitterness, racism and even hatred. The play ends with an unusual twist - much to the annoyance of younger sister Jane. The play offers 3 well-rounded roles for mature female actors. Winner of the Charles Cash Award (adjudicator's choice) Bristol One Act Festival 2007. | |||||

Synopsis: | Winner of the Charles Cash Award, Bristol One Act Drama Festival, 1999. Kate, a strong independent woman, has invited her friends around for the afternoon. She has received some news that she needs to share with them. Everything is not as it seems, when their images of her life and marriage are shattered one by one, ending with Kate's revelation. I do hope that many more groups have the opportunity to present this fine work. Women's groups will be delighted to perform [this play] with its four well written roles.
