Catherine Pelonero (AKA Edna Pelonero). Her first play, Modern Maturity, premiered at Alleyway Theatre and won the Emanuel Fried Award for Outstanding New Play. New York premieres include the one-acts Romantically Incorrect and Family Names, winner of the Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival and published by Samuel French, Inc. Ms. Pelonero has been a recipient of a Western New York Arts Council Fellowship for Drama and a finalist for the Heideman Award at Actors Theatre of Louisville, among others. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild, the Actors Studio West Playwrights & Directors Unit, and serves as a Vice Chair of the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights.
