Synopsis: | 1894. In desperation, a 14 year-old Chinese girl, Liang May Seen, risks her life in making a daring escape from a San Francisco brothel. Bruised, beaten and exhausted, she is taken in to the home of a social worker who sets her on the road to faith, marriage and Minnesota. During her journey, she looks to her faith to find courage to deal with the shame and horror of her past. In the end, she becomes one of the most influential leaders in Minneapolis' Westminster Presbyterian Church. Her story is a tribute to the human spirit! | |||||
