Synopsis: from the memoir by Lauren Slater. Lying tells the story of Lauren, a precocious ten-year-old with a compulsion to lie, as she comes of age in a grownup world. Along the way she encounters a gaggle of teenage girls, a flock of nuns, adoring doctors, and a very famous lover. Lauren uses lies and metaphor in the telling of her playful, impish, exasperating tale, shaped, if it could be, like a question mark. This production will be performed in Kosovo after the New York engagement. nytheatre.com | ||||
