Boi Boi is Dead

Synopsis:
Afro-jazz legend, father, lover, playboy, husband, rule-breaker, enigmatic force of nature... Boi Boi is dead. But not forgotten. Left alone to rebuild her life, Miriam's heartache is interrupted when Boi Boi's reckless ex-wife Stella and traditionalistic brother show up to stake their claim on his name, on his property and to revel in the glory of his fame. Determined to keep her family together, Miriam's life is thrown into turmoil when Stella discovers the secret she shared only with Boi Boi. With a new found power, will the beguiling Stella be triumphant in the face of Boi Boi's death?

Market, The

Synopsis:
Leeds, the city of a thousand trades and home to a market for 800 years. At night fall THE MARKET begins, a dark and silent world unfolds as Kirkgate Market, one of Leeds' most famous landmarks reveals its hidden nooks and crannies, its secrets, its stories, its past and its future to hungry listeners. This promenade production takes audiences on a very special journey through Europe's largest indoor market where audiences will meet characters from the past and the present such as Michael The Master Butcher, Linda The Button Lady, Dancing Dean The Caribbean Cafe Man, Mrs K The Spice Lady from Mauritius and The Sheriff. Created from the stories of the people who work there, shop there and remember it well this piece of verbatim theatre charts the history of the market in the words of those who live it and love it the most. Over 100 people were interviewed, recorded and listened to during the development of THE MARKET. The production will be performed by a company of professional and community,this is a story that includes small, intimate conversations over a cup of tea to community choruses which fill the grand architecture of the Market with light & sound.

Nine Lives

Synopsis:
Ishmael is seeking a new life. He knows of villages and the sound of a gun. But he doesnt know Burnsall Heights Estate. He doesnt know Armley, the place where they have dispersed him to. He is waiting for his papers. He is waiting for his new life to begin amongst these strangers. He must learn how to be in this new space. He must make new connections and feel alive. Through Ishmael we discover Armley again
