Peter became musical director of the Fatfield Junior Operatic Society (now the Rainbow Youth Theatre) in 1996. He then became Director-Chairman of the Washington Theatre Group from 2000 to 2005. He wrote, directed and produced his first stage show at the age of 26, a musical called 'Dark Heart', which was first staged by the Washington Theatre Group in 2001 and again in 2003.
