Mrs Peacock

Synopsis:
Mrs. Peacock, a resident of Old Folks Home, is engaged in a personal power-struggle with Miss Saltino, a thirtyish, sadistic nurse. Mrs. Peacock is struggling against the system to preserve her individuality and identity. She has remained aloof from the other residents, but this isolation is broken by the appearance of Mr. Ditchik, a spry senior citizen who likes to do Yiddish song and dance routines, and Mr. Saffron, a lusty grandfather who escapes from Old Folks Home. In this play, it is the "old fogies-represented by Mrs. Peacock, Mr. Dit-chik, and Mr. Saffron-who are the rebels, and the "young fogies-Miss Saltino, Mrs. Peacock's daughter, Mrs. Saffron's son-who represent the Establishment.

Poe: From His Life and Mind

Synopsis:
Edgar Allan Poe, one of the authentic geniuses of American literature, died in a Baltimore hospital after being left on the street by political thugs. This event is used to launch a surreal investigation of Poe's disturbed mind during the last years of his life, when he was beset by poverty, neglect of his talents, and most especially, the death of Virginia Poe ("Annabel Lee"). Characters from Poe's life are interwoven with the characters Poe created in his poems and stories.
