Synopsis:

In Kenya homosexuality is outlawed as being "un-African". A Kenyan woman falls in love with an American woman. Bobby the American used to be in the Peace Corps but has stayed on and has her own home and is out and proud. Awino is the daughter of a tribal chief - she has gone to live with Bobby - but she is afraid of arrest and execution
