| Synopsis: | Authenticating Eileen is an original multimedia play, collaboratively created by the cast of nine. The production utilizes projection, dance, video, papercraft, and live music to follow the journey of Eileen Sook, a shy, introverted data entry specialist who, after a spontaneous move from New Hampshire to New York, has difficulty connecting to the world outside of her internal routine. In an effort to branch out and connect with others, Eileen hires the help of a new consulting business called "Curating." Curation, or personal intersocial representation, is more than life coaching or public relations; it is an all-encompassing, invasive, and algorithmically programmed review and restructuring of your life, relationships and identity. Mathematically matched "Curators" sculpt their clients to achieve an authentic identity which adheres to successful social models and assists them toward their professed goals. The play progresses through order and chaos to investigate if given the opportunity to craft your identity and broadcast it, how much do you adhere to the identity you understand and what to you give up to achieve a more authentic self. - nytheatre.com | |||||

| Synopsis: | Come and hear the story of the OLDVERSE: the universe before this one, long dead and gone. Two lovers meet and soon discover the truth about their existence: their universe is dying, burning up into flames. Told by the Historian, a mysterious corduroy-clad stranger, this show asks the questions: How do you stop the unstoppable? How do you face the inevitable? A combination of Nintendo graphics, Game Boy music, and theoretical physics; acclaimed theatre creator Karim Muasher single-handedly creates an 8-bit universe of wit and wonder. - nytheatre.com | |||||
