A Celebration of Black History through Music is an educational yet uplifting musical based on the history of African American Music. Lift Every Voice and Sing is an original production written by the A&A Productions, LLC Artistic Director/Owner Angela Moore. This production depicts the evolution of African-American Music from Slavery to Present Day with a brief look into the lives of great Queens and Kings of our African ancestry. there are a number of genres of music that will be reflected throughout this piece. Each genre is depicted through a set of scenes. Each scene will feature either a significant performer or song(s) that are familiar to the public. Lift Every Voice and Sing!! features an All-African American cast of singers, dancers, actors and instrumentalists. This musical is not only a resource for education but also a reminder of how far weve come as a people.    -
