Synopsis:
1943 the remnants of the German Sixth Army were facing wipe-out and had been ordered not to retreat. The soldiers were ordered to write their last letters home. The letters were never sent. It was later thought that the letters could be used to make a book. Higher Russian officials stopped it and had the letters burnt. Luckily the translator had kept copies
