Maria Micheles is a playwright and theatre reviewer currently residing in Astoria, New York. Her plays have appeared at the Theater for the New City, Manhattan Theater Source, Brecht Forum, Actors Studio, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Bowery Poetry Club, Gotham Arts, Galapagos and Siberia, among other venues and in festivals including the Howl Festival and Lower East Side Festival of the Arts. Most recently her full length play, Around the Night Park, was produced as part of the Dream-Up Festival at Theater for the New City in August of 2010. She is currently developing her plays, American Love with director Joan Kane as part of the New School Play Development Series, and at the same time on another full length, Photoplay: The Madness of Diane Arbus, exploring her interest in photography and in people we consider "freaks." Born in Drama, Greece, Maria moved to the states, when she was seven and is a product of the public school system, which she's going to write about one day. She has an MFA in playwriting and has degrees in English and Sociology as well as credits in education and in the fine arts. She works in academic administration, but has taught in public high school, which she enjoyed, and previous to that in publishing. She started her writing career with articles on Russian artists during the 90's. Maria is presently a student at Columbia School of Journalism, and working on putting together her first book proposal. She also reviews for nytheatre.com and contributes articles on culture to The National Herald, a Greek-American weekly.

Stay Over "is a comedy of what can happen to you when trying to make up after an infidelity.
