Beyond Glamour: The Absinthe Tour

Synopsis:
International singing sensation and purr-fect post, post post-modern showgirl Meow Meow descends upon Soho Theatre in her long-awaited London debut. A wild journey of obsessive love songs, tired old tricks, and gorgeous suicide ditties, Meow Meow navigates the uncharted territory between Weimar era wit, 1930's Shanghai show tunes, 60's French pop, and post-punk hilarity, creating a parody of glitz and high art that defies categorization. A star of the Olivier award-winning show La Clique, Meows unique brand of kamikaze cabaret kitsch and performance art exotica has hypnotised audiences worldwide from Paris to Berlin, San Francisco to Shanghai, with sell-out seasons at venues ranging from the Sydney Opera House to New York's Lincoln Center
