Born in Fort Worth, TX on October 2, 1922. MA. and B.A. from Baylor University. For thirty years a teacher of playwriting. Since 1963, Playwright. in-residence, Trinity U. Since 1959, Professor of Playwriting at the Dallas Theater Center. Author of many TV shows produced on all three net-works. Recipient: Play series established by Dallas Theater Center in his honor (Eugene McKinney New Play Reading Series). Winner of Brussel World Fair Film Festival for best short-run fiction film, (producer).
