Synopsis:

To use a grenade grip it with your throwing hand, ensuring that your thumb holds the safety lever in place. This is called the death grip. Grab the safety pin's pull ring with the index finger of your other hand and remove it with a pulling and twisting motion. Then throw the grenade towards your target. Never let children play with grenades. . .Set in Northern Ireland in the 1970s/80s, Grenades tells the story of a young girl, Nuala, whose family is caught up in a terrible conflict. She and her brother are thrust into a violent and adult world and their growing awareness of it leads to disastrous consequences for them and their family. Ten years later, as she waits in a prison, she tries to make sense of her memories.
